We have a unique aspect of our programme called – ‘The island is my garden’. Our unique location allows us to embrace nature and the many scenic locations near to school. Children from Nursery Two to Primary head out spontaneously any day for nature walks, literacy walks, sand sculpting and cooperative games on the beach etc. For our youngest learners, bus buggies are available to the teachers to extend outdoor learning and inquiry possibilities beyond the school gates in order to respond to children's ideas as we open up new encounters and possibilites. We also have a magnificent natural world atelier that ‘brings outside inside’. In this special space, you will find natural objects that can be found on the island to evoke wonder, discovery and research. We also have a unique Nature Education Programme for children to learn about and from nature.
The people within a setting make it a special place to be. We hand pick teachers who care and offer warmth, expertise and understanding to young children and their families. We plan the day so that children can come together across class groups to learn in a social context. Our ‘open door’ policy also welcomes families to actively participate in the programme through various events and personal class initiatives. The new Parent Den on campus also supports parents with connecting over coffee/tea as sense of belonging is important for you to!
We are privileged to have carefully designed environments based on early years research. When you enter our building, you will see how every piece of furniture and equipment has been selected with young learners in mind. We believe that environments should be extraordinary rather than ordinary. We want children to cross the threshold of our school every morning and be drawn in by wonder and engagement. We boast a wide range of facilities at Sentosa as the children use the whole school as an aquarium of learning, this includes:
Outside we offer a 360 outdoor environment with a front garden for youngest learners, side terrace hosting our terrapin pond and children's mandala and a spacious back garden with an incredible tree ecosystem, science and water walkway, planting zone and our treetop trails woven into the natural landscape.

Lisa is an educator from Wales, U.K. She started her education journey 16 years ago working with children from birth to 3 years in a Nursery School in the U.K. During this time, Lisa used a play-based curriculum and teaching approach to provide rich and meaningful experiences for the children in her care. Looking for a new challenge, Lisa and her husband Mark moved to EtonHouse Singapore to continue their education careers in 2005. Lisa continued her studies in Singapore to enhance her knowledge and skills. She began as a teacher but soon moved up to take the position of Assistant Principal at EtonHouse Outram. She thoroughly enjoyed this role which allowed her to advocate best practice and ensure quality learning within a caring environment for children.
“We were very impressed with the facilities, size of the classes and the progressive learning culture. We understand the school will grow in size, but from the point of view that the children will get appropriate one-on-one time with the teachers, we felt really confident that Harry would thrive in the environment where he is encouraged to learn and as opposed to always being told what do. Considering we live on Sentosa, the location is just brilliant for Sentosa residents.”- Mark & Felicity Sainsbury, parents of Harry
